Home / Pre orders

Pre orders for butcher shops, without the spreadsheet.

Holiday hams, bulk beef, the chicken sale. Most shops take these by phone and type them into a spreadsheet that is out of date before it prints. This is the same job, done by your own website, with pickup day handled at the counter in a couple of taps.

01

One link instead of a spreadsheet

Set up a sale once, then post one link wherever your customers are.

  • Several items in one sale, each with its own price, photo and quantity
  • Leave the quantity blank and it never cuts off
  • An order by date, and the pickup days you choose
  • It stops taking orders when you are full, so you never sell what you do not have

What your customer sees

No account and nothing to install. They pick, they leave a name and a phone number, and they are done.

  • They choose their items, a pickup day, and a time that is inside your real hours
  • Pickup times skip your lunch break and closing on their own
  • A confirmation email straight away and a reminder the day before
  • A ready email that tells them they can come early or keep the day they picked

Phone orders go on the same list

Not everybody orders online, and they should not have to.

  • Staff type a phone order into the same sale in a few seconds
  • It counts toward the same totals as the online orders
  • A note on a phone order stays with the order for the counter to see

Pickup day

The part that used to be a line out the door and a stack of paper.

  • A report by day, sorted by time or by name, printable page per pickup day
  • A search box at the counter: type a few letters of a name or phone number
  • Mark it picked up, or paid and picked up, in one tap, with undo
  • Mark a whole day ready at once and every customer gets an email
  • The whole order, notes and all, one tap away

Questions

What shops ask about this.

Can I cap how many of each item I will take?

Yes. Give each item its own quantity, or leave it blank for no limit. The sale stops taking orders for an item the moment it is full.

Do I have to take deposits?

No. A deposit is optional and you set it per sale. Most shops start with pay at the counter and add online prepay later for the things they make to order.

Can I still take orders after the sale closes?

Yes. The online form closes on your date, and staff can still add a phone order when you decide to squeeze one in.

Can customers pick a pickup time?

Yes. The times offered come from your own hours, so nobody books through lunch or after you close.
